Ana Roxanne

American composer and vocalist of Filipino descent, Ana Roxanne grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area surrounded by jazz, R&B, and Catholic choral music. After studying Hindustani singing in Uttarakhand, India, and training at the prestigious Mills College in Oakland, she developed a distinctive sonic language blending ambient, dream pop, minimalism, and vocal techniques from multiple traditions. Her Kranky debut, *Because of a Flower* (2020), established her as one of the most singular voices in contemporary experimental music, with performances at Glastonbury, Dekmantel, and Pitchfork Music Festival.
